YUVA NIDHI SCHEME: It is informed to the students who have passed their degree in 2022-2023, 2023 -2024 can apply for Yuva Nidhi scheme of government of Karnataka. Candidates can apply online at the Seva Sindhu portal or through Grama One, Karnataka One, or Bapuji Seva Centres.

About Department

The Department of Electrical and Electronics, is one of the oldest departments at P.D.A. College of Engineering. Established in the year 1958, the department has well qualified; passionate and dedicated staff, most of who are engaged in path breaking research and development. With a current annual intake of 60 students from all parts of India, the staff to student ratio now stands at a probable 1:13.

The Course at the department, involves Power Engineering, Power Electronics and Computers; comprehensive and in keeping modern trends of Electrical and Electronics Engineering education. Course pattern at the department is planned to keep the students upto date with the recent trends and shifting technological paradigms, making them industry ready. The department has a total of 11 faculty members with various specializations, out of which 3 are Ph.D holders and 03 are pursuing Ph.D. The average experience of the faculty is very high. The Department sponsors staff regularly for attending the Short term Courses/ Workshop / Seminars/ Conferences for updating their knowledge time to time. The staff is also involved publishing the papers in National and international Journals/ Conferences Students are required to undergo quizzes in addition to assignments and self study evaluation. They are evaluated on regular basis thereby making the course learning and just not grade oriented. 74 students are placed in both core and software industries since 3 years with a highest package of around 5 lakhs.
